Explore the Shore
Spring on America’s North Coast brings wildflowers and gushing rivers and streams as the snow melts and dumps into the big lake. Last weekend, I explored the nearby Temperance River State Park and was awed by the roaring waterfalls!In our activities center at Surfside, mountain bikes are now replacing the snowshoes. Of course, these and other recreational items are available to use free of charge to owners and guests of Surfside on Lake Superior.
At Surfside, we are looking forward to our first full summer in business while having our "Waves of Superior" Spa, Pool, Café and Conference Center completed and ready for guests to enjoy! Waves of Superior Spa is the North Shore's first and only full-service destination spa and it's open to anyone. It's a perfect way to unwind after a long day exploring the shore. Spring is on the way!
This satellite image was provided by the U.S. Coast Guard and it shows that almost all ice pack is gone from Lake Superior...A sure sign of spring!
