Tons o' snow and still building
Chilling winds were blowing across the warmer waters of Lake Superior this last weekend, creating ideal lake-effect snow conditions in the Tofte-Lutsen area. Lutsen Mountains reported 24 inches of fresh snowfall over the past week! So once again it is a winter wonderland and a skiers paradise on the North Shore.
The snowy weather has not hampered the ongoing construction effort at Surfside on Lake Superior. Our guest services building is now shingled, insulated and complete with windows, which means we are moving inside to complete the interiors. The guest services building should be completed by March, when we'll be renting from its lush lobby. Early rentals will start in February and guests will temporarily check in at our sister resort, Bluefin Bay on Lake Superior. More rental information will be coming to the website soon so check back.
We are now nearing completion of seven of the nine waterfront units in phase one and the other two are not far behind. You can see our first interior photos of Surfside in our photo gallery.
If you have not yet had an opportunity to tour our new luxurious coastal contemporary townhomes, I personally invite you to call for a private showing or attend one of the upcoming open houses:
Saturday, Jan. 19 and Sunday, Jan. 20 from 10:00 am to 3:00 p.m.
Saturday, Jan. 26 and Sunday, Jan. 27 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Thank you to all past guests who have toured Surfside. We invite you to visit us again in the future to see the progress.
